Meet Pastor Aaron &
First Lady Lakisha Litzsey
Pastor and First Lady Litzsey accepted the call of God to lead God's people in February 2008. Their ability to relate to young and old and their heart for serving in the community garnered them vast recognition within the City of Memphis and beyond. They have literally leveraged their God-given ability to inspire, motivate, and lead to feed thousands of people in the Mid-South. The gift of teaching the Word with simplicity rests on them, and the anointing to destroy yokes lives within them. They are making full proof of their ministry by leading The Word Church which they initiated under the leadership of the Holy Spirit with founding team of Word Believers in 2013. Professionally they have acquired multiple degrees in education and healthcare, and use their academic strength and spiritual acumen to empower Word Believers at The Word Church weekly. Their reach goes beyond the 4 walls and beyond. The Word Church is blessed to have the kingdom voices as our spiritual leaders.
Our Beliefs
The Word Church has very rock solid beliefs and values which guide and inspire every aspect of our ministry.
We believe that understanding our beliefs and Statement of Faith is vital in understanding The Word Church's mission and position in Kingdom building within the earth.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.

We believe that sin is the transgression of God’s law, as revealed by the Holy Spirit through His eternal Word.

We believe that the ordinance of baptism by immersion in water should be administered to all those who have repented of their sin and believed on the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that the baptism with the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, with the evidence of speaking in other tongues, is an experience subsequent to salvation that equips the believer for effective service and is given to believers who ask for it.
